We have just returned fro a trip to Coral bay and Kalbarri.KAlbarri was 6 hours away then Coral bay was a further 6-7 hours. It was all worth the long trip we had a great time.
Kalbarri, we hired a little boat and did a little bit of fishing. Alfie loved it. In Coral bay we snorkelled and fished. The water was amazing. Coral bay has its own reef which could be walked to and snorkelled in. Syd loved the snorkelling and loved looking at all the coral and underwater sea life. Annie did really well but was not as confident as Syd. I loved to snorkel and found it quite emotional, I couldnt believe where I was and what I was doing . I feel truly blessed for the wonderfull experiences I had on this holiday.
This was our first camping trip as a family and it was a great success, we will definately be doing it again. Hot choc in the evenings and playing uno then going to bed for 8'o clock it was great.

Day Out
We decided to take the kids to Perth today 20.01.09 as there are only a couple of days left of the summer holidays.
We had a brilliant time, We caught the train to Perth , for all of us to travel it costs $8.40. This enables us to catch the train, bus and ferry, so we did them all.
We caught the bus to Kings Park which is beautiful. the weather was cool which was perfect, we didn't get all sweaty and hot. We then caught the ferry across the Swan river and had ice cream. All in all a fun day was had by all. Alfie was in his element as he loves most vehicles but especially the train.

Swimming
The girls are doing some swimming lessons on the beach this holiday, they are really loving it. Allthough the other day they had to wait before entering the water due to a shark sighting. But after a few minutes they could enter the water but only very shallow.
We have also put a huge paddling pool up in the garden. Alfie doesn't really like the water but we are hoping that his confidence will grow the more he plays in our paddling pool

Merry Christmas
Our first christmas has been a good but unusual one. We all find it strange that the skies are blue and the sun shines bright on christmas day. We celebrated this christmas by starting off with a swim in the sea at 7.o.clock in the morning. We have decided to make this a tradition, it was great fun and made the mad present opening last a bit longer.
This time of year allthough filled with fun, brings the realization that the people you love are so far away. Time is a healer and I know this is the best place to be at this time of our lives.
I am looking for ward to the new year as we hope to see our house being built (finance pending) and many new adventures as we continue to explore this beautiful country.

Beauty spot
Yanchep Lagoon is fast turning into our favourite place to hang out. We love it. The girls love to snorkel and hunt for sea life while Matt and I lay back enjoying the beauty that surrounds us. Alfie is not sure of the water and doesnt like to play in it very much. I dont think he will be the next surf champion, but he loves to dig and bury his feet in the sand.
